I am too political for my own good. I believe in Mermaids and Unicorns. I am the ringleader of Lunacy. I am sane inside insanity. I am who I am and I am what I am. And, truly, that is all I can ever be.

Skin & Bones
So today's song is brought to by Romance on a Rocketship (ROAR). This song plays at work all the time and is one of the few that I actually enjoy. I like singing it to Donnie since he has long hair and blue eyes! ^-^ As seen in the photo below!
Of course, his hair is much longer now, but still. Also, my favorite picture of him EVER. Isn't he gorgeous? Sorry, moving on. So, in honor of my beloved Donald Lee <3 I am posting the song I love to sing to him. Skin & Bones - Romance on a Rocketship.

Of a Fashion
Okay, I know this is random, but I felt like posting a bunch of pictures of dresses by two different designers, Catherine Malandrino and Carla Zampatti, whose designs I have posted before. The reasoning behind this you may ask? *shrug* I don't know. I felt like it?
To start us off is Catherine Malandrino herself in a lovely green dress. I'm not sure if she designed it or if someone else did, but I like it a lot.
Speaking of green dresses, here is a Green Silk Chiffon Minidress which I adore. I love the ruching along the ruffle line and the one off-the-shoulder sleeve.
And here it is again, just for another view.
Also, have a look at this very patriotic "Flag Dress"! Love the way the model makes it look, didn't really like the other pictures of it.
One thing I have noticed about both Catherine Malandrino and Carla Zampatti is that they seem to prefer an Asymmetrical look to their dresses, which I have to say, I also like.
Here are a couple examples:
Catherine Malandrino:
Carla Zampatti:
Since I posted a picture of Ms. Malandrino it seems only fair that I do the same for Ms. Zampatti. Looking quite stern/posh in white and black (once again, I don't know if she designed it herself) is Carla Zampatti.
I really love this dress/jacket/hat ensemble. And I'm not sure if I like it because of the jacket, which is lopsidedly asymmetrical, or if I like it for the huge hat or for the dress itself, which is quite cute. I think I just like the whole ensemble for inexplicable reasons.
I also love this soft pink dress, though I wish I could've found a better picture of it. This is from Ms. Zampatti's 2009 collection. I'm not sure what the model is doing though. O.o
And finally, a black dress. I seem to always have to have a black dress somewhere in my favorite pictures of dresses. I don't know if it is because black is such a classical color or if it is because of the fabled "little black dress" or I am just insane. Maybe it is all of the above. Who knows? My favorite part of this dress is the bodice. I love the odd angles that stick away and then the straight line of the rest of the dress.
All for now duckies! Hope you enjoyed the random fashion show!

Ode to a Cupcake (or two)
Who doesn't like cupcakes? They are the perfectly proportioned amount of cake so that you don't have to feel guilty eating them! Of course, if you are already on a diet that requires no cupcakes you should feel bad, but why would you choose a diet like that anyway? Did you know that the British call cupcakes Fairy Cakes? I think I like that name better, actually! Australians call them patty cakes.
Anyway, this blog is all about cupcakes. I am going to post a few pictures of cupcakes and a recipe or two.
First let's start with a Cookie Monster Cupcake!
I'm not sure what this cupcake is made of, but it looks delicious!! I want one!
Oh Noes!! Not a Cannibal Cupcake!!! RUN!
Who doesn't love a puppycake? Also, may have to invest in that book. Just sayin'.
Best Costume Idea Ever! ^_^
Rainbow Cupcake! Tasty and beautiful!
And, just for Donnie, A TURTLE CUPCAKE!
Now that your tastebuds have been teased with these mouthwatering images of cupcakes, here are two different cupcake recipes for your enjoyment!
Sparkling Strawberry Champagne Cupcakes
I found this recipe on www.thecupcakerecipes.com. Sounds delicious, but I haven't gotten to try it yet. Will post whenever I can afford the champagne! ^-^
Sweet Pink Strawberry Champagne Cupcake Recipe
* 1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® strawberry cake mix

Champagne Frosting
* 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
* 4 cups powdered sugar
* 1/4 cup champagne
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 4 to 5 drops red food coloring

Pink decorator sugar crystals
Edible pink pearls
Directions:
* Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
* In large bowl, combine dry cake mix and champagne. Add oil, eggs. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
* Bake 17 to 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

Sweet Potato Cupcakes
I found this recipe on www.cupcakeblog.com. Now these may sound kind of gross at first, if you don't like Sweet Potatoes, but I am actually really intrigued by this recipe and will definitely have to try it! Hope you enjoy it! If you get a chance to try it, comment and let me know what you think!
Sweet Potato Cupcakes
~24 cupcakes / 350 degree oven
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups almond meal
4 large eggs
3/4 cup high-quality honey
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 cup sweet potato flour
1 teaspoon xanthan gum
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
2. Beat butter until softened. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
3. Add almond meal and beat to combine.
4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until well combined.
5. Measure the flour, xanthan gum, baking powder, and salt into a medium bowl and whisk to combine.
6. Measure out the honey and buttermilk. Stir to combine.
7. Add about a third of the dry ingredients to the butter/sugar and beat to combine. Add about a half of the wet ingredients and beat to combine. Continue adding, alternating between dry and wet and finishing with the dry.
8. Scoop batter into cupcake cups about 2/3′s full. Bake cupcakes for about 22-25 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Bourbon Caramel Cream Cheese Frosting
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons whipping cream
2 tablespoons butter
pinch salt
4 tablespoons bourbon
2 packages phili cream cheese, room temp
1 cup butter, room temp
6 cups confectioner’s sugar
1. Heat brown sugar, cream, butter, salt over medium high heat whisking until sugar is dissolved. Cook for another minute.
2. Pour in bourbon and stir to combine. Take off heat and let cool.

Shoes
Alternate title: The story of a girl who hates them.
So, as you could tell by previous blog I was more than a little upset. So what did I do to cheer myself up you may ask? I turned off the song I had listened to on repeat for an hour and listened to some other music. I talked to my mom on Facebook chat. I looked at pictures of pretty shoes that I want to buy.
Wait...
Repeat that? The girl who hates shoes was looking at pretty shoes to cheer herself up?
Yes. That is correct. And now I am going to post pictures of said pretty shoes that cheered me up. All of them are by my favorite shoe designer Manolo Blahnik.
First off a white version of my all time fav shoe EVER!
I don't know why I like these, but I would wear them!! I am so strange. And have possibly been replaced with a pod person.
I don't think I would actually wear these, but I like the style. Once again, I don't know why. Normally I would think they looked dumb.
These red heels really made me smile. I love sassy red heels!
Lacy heels are even better! I like how he changes up the same basic designs with his shoes.
I honestly have no idea what is up this pair of shoes, but they are weird and therefore I like them. I don't like the looseness of the ropes though. There should be a way to tighten them.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!
My all time fave shoe, in black.
These ones remind me of a pair of shoes I almost bought. They were Frenchi lace pumps and they were at Maurice's. Unfortunately they went out of season so I'm going to have to wait to get a hold of a pair!
The last shoes of the evening. They are fun, pink and sassy. And I love the black feathers. ^-^
Shoes can sometimes make even me, the bare-footed heathen, smile. Thank you Manolo Blahnik!

Broken Pieces
Life isn't fair. I knew that. I was born knowing that life was never going to be fair, nor would it always be beautiful. But I don't understand why so many moments are harder than others and I don't understand why we hate each other so much that we are willing to destroy not only ourselves but those around us.
I want to know why I can't seem to hang on to the sunshine, even when it is cloudy. I want to know why? It makes no sense to me.
And I don't even know why I am writing. I feel like bawling and I don't know why. I just miss some people that I had been doing so well to forget or not think about. It leads nowhere to think about them when all I do is cry.
I think I want to cry for the characters in "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" even though they are imaginary. They can only have tears on paper, so maybe I am meant to bear the tears for them. I understand them much better than I thought I would, isn't love a universal loss? A universal pain which is stronger than reason, stronger than faith and hate. But the most painful corruption ever.
I want to cry because of a beautiful song that I understand with my soul, but not with my mind. I want to cry for babies that never see sunshine and the strong women and men in my life that I had to let go of far too soon. I want to cry for the little girl I never was and I want to cry because I am so tired of it all. It's ridiculous, you know. Sometimes I wonder how any of us survive. Of course, with life no one gets out alive. That is a universal truth is it not?

Hua Tian Cuo
Today's song is by Wang Leehom or Leehom Wang. Not only is he talented, handsome and wonderful, but he was in my favorite Gackt movie ever! "Moon Child". And, to top it all off, this is my all time favorite song by him.
Hua Tian Cuo basically means "Mistake in the Flower Field". A beautiful title, truly! The video is pretty awesome too, because he can play old style Chinese instruments while singing of being in love and making mistakes! Got to love a man that can not only sing but play beautiful instruments too. Or at least I do!

The Talking Red Hamster
So the other day I posted a bunch of random things including something that my friend, Kid, had said. It had to do with a talking red hamster. Well, he uploaded the video to Facebook and I uploaded it to YouTube. So here it is, the wonderful red hamster as voiced by Kid.
Willie ate the Fairies.
A random and interesting conversation my friend Willie and I had on Facebook chat. We are kind of insane, but he rocks anyway.

First of all, I would like to say Happy Zombie Jesus Day! To all of you who celebrate this insane holiday dedicated to zombie Gods, egg laying rabbits and fertility I wish you the best.
Now, because I've been on a tweeting kick recently on Twitter, I just wanted to post some of my favorite quips from not only myself, but from the people I follow! Ready, set, TWEET!
@zachbraff: I understand that He got out of the tomb, but what did bunnies have to do with it? I had a bunny once. No colored eggs, just doodie.
@wicked_roses: Piglet doesn't get any love. Just sayin'.
@wanderingitaly: Time for tea and chocolate covered cherries. Don't laugh.
@wicked_roses: Yay Easter dinner means Cheese Pizza and cookies when you are on your own! ^^ Happy Zombie Jesus Day!
@wicked_roses: Donnie makes some tasty fried eggs, but hands down Aunt Peggy's will always rock! ^_^
@TheRealNimory: Avoid vexatious people. LLAP
@sesamestreet: Grover: Gordon said he made a phone call on his Bluetooth. I do not understand. Gordon does not have blue teeth!
@DalaiLama: No matter what our situation, we all share the same aspiration for happiness. (Yes, the Dalai Lama has a Twitter, isn't that insane?)
@wicked_roses: A vampire's kiss to ressurect her, a wicked kiss to seduce her. Lost in the tapestry of love and lust, a dagger soaked in blood.
@JamesMartin2007: Boregasm:noun verb: the result of or act of reaching the apex or climax of boredom Filling ones capacity for boredom to the extreme boundary
@zachbraff: Passover! So glad we snuck out of Egypt. I'm horrible at manual labor. Building pyramids would have totes hurt my lower back.
@emmyrossum: Sometimes things and people surprise you.
@WilliamShatner: @PAIGEhouse No it's television. It is like radio but with pictures. My best, Bill
@sesamestreet: Cookie Monster: When something not big deal you say, ‘it small potatoes.’ So if something IS big deal, why not say, ‘it big cookies!”
@DalaiLama: Developing love and compassion and reducing anger and spite is a universal activity which requires no faith in any religion whatsoever.
@zachbraff: also when i say the Janitor's penis mole is benign. and he says, "benign/benign and a half..."
@wicked_roses: The Vampire watermelon pushed against the poor girl, kissing all the way up her neck until it had reached the apex of her anatomy.
@wanderingitaly: When you failed at being the breast man? RT: @ZekeQuezada: When did I become the wing man?
@PinkSmileyEyes: Why do people use the word love and hate the most? When they never mean one or the other. I just don't get people!!!
@wicked_roses: I finally got a Twitter. Is it normal to feel like I just sold my soul to the Devil? Because that is totally what it feels like right now.
@wicked_roses: @JamesMartin2007 There aren't many people I want to follow. They don't even have the REAL Wentworth Miller!
@wicked_roses: Dreamt that I was listening to music by the Beatles with Ringo Starr. I think that is going on my bucket list.
@wicked_roses: I am never believing anything I read in Cosmo again. When they call for revenge when you only think someone is cheating there is a problem.
@wicked_roses: My love is making fried eggs for me and I am about to hop in the shower. Dreamt about Russell Brand texting me about a story I wrote. Weird.
Anyway, that is all! Hope everyone enjoyed those crazy tweets, well some were crazy, some weren't. But they were ones I really liked, so there :P

Fried Eggs and Imogen Heap
My morning, so far (even though it is technically afternoon now), has consisted of a shower, some delicious fried eggs on toast (made by the most amazing husband-to-be, Donnie) and some interesting music I had never heard from the amazingly wonderful Imogen Heap.
I can't even really explain why all the sudden I wanted to listen to Imogen, but the next thing I knew I wanted to hear her. And then I was listening to rare music by her. I found myself at her website and almost got excited about maybe fulfilling one of my bucket list items. She is wanting someone to do a duet with her for Earth while she is touring. Unfortunately it is Australia and Mexico. And I am not in either one of those places. Though, right now, I want to be!
Currently I am listening to P.I.N. which I found on YouTube quite by accident. It has a very interesting sound. A lot of tribal drumming mixed with classical instruments like violins and other strings, plus piano. The effect is really cool so I suggest you go check it out!
Also I have been tweeting like a crazy person. I don't understand, but I like being able to say whatever I want, often within seconds of saying something random. Though, it is quite limited and I am not that into it, I kind of like it. I will probably post a bunch of the crazy tweets I have been posting, just to pass the time!
Anyway, that is all for now! Love and Fried eggs to you all! ^-^

BIGBANG
I randomly talked about the following video in my last blog, in which I said that G-Dragon's outfits were kind of, shall we say, out there. I am sort of addicted to the song currently, so I thought I would share it with all of you! :D
There are two different versions, one in Japanese and an Original version (in Korean). SO you get both, because I just love you all SOOOOO MUCH! ^_^
Japanese Version
Original Version
And is it just me, or have they all gotten EVEN HOTTER?! Especially Daesung! Goddamn, is he gorgeous!! *drools a little* Ooops, my bad. Anyway, so there you have it, double the G-Dragon, T.O.P., Taeyang, Seungri and Daesung! ^-^ (However, I still have NO clue what is going on with G-D's outfits...)

Random Thoughts (When I Should be Sleeping!)
Who doesn't love it when Satan and Jesus have a dance off?
I'm thinking Starbucks.
The newest video from BIGBANG is so HOT! Of course, I'm not sure what the hell is going on with G-Dragon's outfits... they are kind of Weird O.o
I am pretty sure that my soul can be described in Cello. ^_^
My bucket list is too fanciful, but what can you do?
I should've gone to bed two hours ago.
"And I know its wrong, and I know its right..." Apocalyptica feat. Doug Robb.
Who knew I could kind of miss Twitter when it doesn't work properly?
I am really enjoying "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, I just wish I had more time to read it.
420 is tomorrow.
The last bit of my Subway soda tasted like the cup. Ick.
Josh Groban is going to guest host Live with Regis and Kelly on the 22nd. I have to work that day. Is it worth it to get up early and watch it?
I am pretty sure I've lost my ever-loving mind.
"And God, are you even there?" Ferras.
Dear Customers, is it really that hard to put an item back where you found it? Really? And if you aren't going to put it back in the right place could you at least make the effort to put it somewhere that it might belong? I know I'd appreciate it!
Also, Dear Customers, how hard is it to pick something up that you dropped on the floor? Believe it or not I don't get paid enough to put up with all your bullshit. Just sayin'.
"I should warn her that you'll never do her right. All your games, all your lies, I need to tell her, maybe I can change her mind." Fefe Dobson.
It is REALLY awkward when you run into someone that you know is having an affair with someone you just recently met and they are with their wife and two kids... I just kept wanting to tell his wife. Only I didn't know her from Eve and that might be weird.
I was SO drunk on Friday night that when I fell to the ground (trying to pick up a quarter) L.E.D and Kid rolled me down the parking lot instead of helping me up. That was kind of fun. Also, Electric Lemonade rocks. Especially if you chug it. Through a straw. >.>
I think Kati Wolf (the lady who sang "What about my Dreams" that I posted) sounds and looks a lot like a blond Celine Dion. Just sayin'.
I hate it when something tells me that I have qualified for a whole bunch of money (a Wal-Mart gift card) and then tells me to get it I have to sign up for stuff that I can't afford!! So aggravating and really depressing, because we could use a $1,000 gift card to Wal-Mart. We would be set for groceries and I could get some new clothes. I hate internet scams.
"Take my soul, take my heart back." BIGBANG.
So many wishes, too little time...
I really do want Starbucks.
"Can't take me, I'm free." Bryan McAdams.
I'm really depressed because I am worried about what we are going to do if Donnie doesn't get a job soon. We don't have a lot of money, my job is so financially unsteady right now and we need food, new clothes, a car, etc. When I was little I dreamt of growing up, being my own woman doing my own thing. Being an adult was all I wanted to be. I was already mature, I already had a bunch of adult responsibilities. But now all I think about is what an idiot I was for ever wishing this on myself.
I have a new friend, Z, at work. He is adorable. Love, love, love this kid. Great sense of humor, wonderful attitude and such a sweet laugh!
Why do I care?
I dreamt the other night that my father, who is in prison somewhere, had a Facebook and I found him on there. It was weird, because I'm pretty sure he doesn't have access to the internet.
If Shakespeare had a Twitter, I would follow him. Does nobody wish Shakespeare had a Twitter besides me?
And does anyone think it weird that the Dalai Lama has a Twitter?! Really?!
When the Zombie apocalypse arrives I think I'm going to serve the Brain pudding and the Electric lemonades after the surrender of Mankind. That seems reasonable. I wonder what kind of brain pudding the Zombie ambassador would like?
Ooo, I'm going to post a neat picture of myself now!
"I'm a talkin' red hamster, I'm a talkin'... VAGINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" as sung by Kid. We laughed until we cried, we cried until we laughed and I may have actually rolled on the floor laughing. Just sayin'.

My Bucket List
Hello Everyone!!
Today I have decided to post part (a long part) of my (so far) uncompleted Bucket List. Most of the stuff on here is fanciful, because I am a dreamer at heart, but some of it I could actually do at some point. Escaping Reality
Here is another great IU student film produced by my friend Nick and starring my friends Phil and Eric. I really love the fuzziness of the film (you'll understand what I mean when you watch it) transition into the clearness of reality.
I think it is also a great depicition of Alcoholism and the effects of attempting to avoid reality, but I think you will understand it better when you watch it. Enjoy!

For Sale
For Sale: One soul. Decent condition. Has some severe fabric tears from trauma and various other reasons. Almost like new, needs a bit of a tune up. Will fall in love with anyone.
Sold: One soul. To the Devil.
Why you may ask?
I got a Twitter. After two years of holding out and laughing at the stupidity of Twitter, I got one. Which is ridiculous, I know. But curiosity has often been said to kill the proverbial cat. So consider my soul sold and we won't go into my cat.
For those of you who have a Twitter you can follow me @wicked_roses. Insane, I know, but if nothing else I can always delete it later and blog about how stupid it is. There is an upside to ever downside!

The Wedding (and 7 reasons it ruled)
Today one of my good girlfriends and her fiance got married. It was one of the best weddings I've ever been to and here are a few reasons why:
1. Brandon (the groom) and his groomsmen totally did the Carlton dance from "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uP-oylFQ0Dw (wouldn't let me embed it, but suffice to say seeing 3 white guys doing that dance in dress clothes was freakin' hysterical!)
2. Sarah (the bride) looked gorgeous!
3. There was alcohol!! Not only did it taste good, but it was reasonably priced and came in pretty cups!! :D Oh and being old enough to buy it made everything better, :P
4. The dancing was insane and I got to dance with that really cute chick I told you all about a few blogs back. The young woman who allowed me to rub her feet after she had been dancing in heels at the club with us.
5. The ceremony was short and sweet, nothing overly drawn out and nothing over the top. Sweet and simple.
6. We were there for 4 1/2 hours partying!!
7. Did I mention the crazy dancing? It ROCKED! :D
I went in my new dress with L.E.D and Kid. My brother came later, after his play rehearsal and Donnie, unfortunately, didn't get to go due to his insomnia acting up. Not that he would've enjoyed it too much since he would've hated all the music.
Sarah walked down the aisle to "Marry Me" by Train (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghZt2cILcCU), after the bridal party walked down the aisle to "Don't want to Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKAn1HvmRXM). Her colors were White, Red and Blue. So there was American flag colored ribbons everywhere.
The only time that I started to get a little teary was when she was given away by her father and when she and her father had the Father-Daughter dance. The reasoning for that was because I don't have a father who is active in my life and I won't have that. It was sad, and at that moment I really missed Donnie too, but it was beautiful none the less.
After a ton of dancing, some drinking, some more dancing and cake, pictures and beautiful memories we found ourselves outside, in the rain, walking to Kid's car. Why is it that beautiful moments never seem to last and then they become beautiful memories?
It never ceases to amaze me when I look back on our childhoods and wonder where all the time went. We were young children living in the hopes of growing up and living life as adults in a crazy world. And here we are, adults living in a crazy world. We are grown up now, some of us fulfilling our dreams, some waiting for the moment to arrive, some have never grown up. Where does the time go? Where did our youths go?
So, here is to Sarah and Brandon on their beautiful wedding day. May they live happily ever after, the way the fairy tales say. May they have hard times and good times, times that bring them closer together when they could easily fall apart. May they have beautiful children, happy hearts and a house full of love. I wish all of these things in a world that doesn't believe in wishes. I wish all of this in the crazy hope that someday little children with the same dreams we have will look back and ask the same questions and wish the same things.

My Life, Unscripted (Part II)
The following conversation happened at work between myself and my co-worker, Kyle, who has increasingly become a cool friend, sometimes.
As a little background, this conversation happened while we were checking some people out at the register. I was bagging for Kyle and he was ringing the items up. The people we were ringing up were talking about how they were getting ready to go to a wedding the next day.
Kyle: I want to get married. (Pause) Sarai, will you do me the honor of being my wife?
Me: No, Kyle. And I'll tell you why.
1. Your girlfriend wouldn't like it.
2. My fiance definitely wouldn't like it.
3. I am too tired to get married today.
Kyle: All very valid reasons.
Me: Besides, where would we get married this late in the day? We are not driving all the way to Vegas to get married, not happening. Just sayin'.
Kyle: White Castle.
Me: Oh yes, because every girl dreams of getting married at White Castle.
Kyle: I love White Castle!
Me: I like White Castle, but I don't want to get married there!

September's Children
September's Children is the name currently given to several young men who committed suicide last September because of anti-gay bullying.
The youngest of these was Seth Walsh, 13. He was bullied relentlessly by fellow students who continously called him a fag, a queer, a homo. He tried to commit suicide by hanging in his backyard. The attempt was unsuccessful and he was discovered. However, enough damage had been done that he lived just 9 days on life support, before finally passing away.
Another was Tyler Clementi, 18. He jumped from the George Washington Bridge after his roommate and another "hallmate" at his school released two videos of him in sexual encounters with other men. His body was found a week later.
Billy Lucas, 15, also committed suicide because of anti-gay bullying at his school. He hung himself in his family's barn in Indiana. He had been told that he was nothing and that he should just kill himself.
There are many, too many, young men and women who have been lost to us because they were Homosexual or Bisexual or Transgendered and were bullied. Or bashed. Not all of them have been lost to suicide. Some have been lost to murder or have simply disappeared.
How many children and young adults must turn to suicide before something is done to help? How many of our future leaders, doctors, scientists, actors and liberators have to die before their time for us to realize that we have a real problem?
And who is teaching our children to hate? Who is showing them that violence is the right thing to do? Adults who have no respect for life, who are prejudiced and full of venom. Adults who claim that homosexuals who get married is what will destroy the constitution of marriage. And those same adults who say that are marrying and divorcing and fucking around with people that they aren't married to. But somehow, homosexuality is going to destroy the institution of marriage! Christians, like Pat Robertson, who speak for intolerance and practically preach murder when they speak of homosexuality.
How are they supposed to learn any different? Hate is taught. Hate is learned. We do not come into this world with hate, though we leave this world with it raging through our veins.
In honor of all those who have died during the struggle to be counted as equals.

A Cherry Red Lipstick Kiss
This is a short film written and directed by a friend of mine who goes to school at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. I know I am a little biased, because he is my friend, but this video is truly one of the best student made short films I've ever seen! And I am so happy to present it you today!
It is an interesting twist on the abusive relationship and how far is too far. Often we don't think about abusive relationships in shades of gray. We think of them in black and white, they are wrong. Plain and simple. But Elijah takes things to a whole new level, twisting what is usually so clear into something not so clear.
I am pleased to present, "Cherry Red Lipstick".

What About My Dreams?
This is a song that my friend Phil (THANK YOU!) posted on Facebook specifically for moi and it made me smile!! It is from this year's Eurovision (Yes, I kind of follow it through Phil, because he is addicted :D ) Contest and the lady singing (Kati Wolf) is representing Hungary!
I used to be in a bad relationship where it was kind of a similar thing, I was giving up all my dreams for a guy who didn't care about them. He didn't care that I wanted to have my wedding colors be red, black and white. He wanted them white, black and purple. He didn't care that I wanted to travel the world. He wanted us to get married and never leave where we were, just have children and grow old and die. He didn't care about my dreams.
So, for those of you who are giving up dreams of yours for someone who doesn't care at all, let go. And listen to this song!

World Religion
I was thinking yesterday that I really wanted to try different world religions, just because I think it would be interesting and I feel like I would learn a lot.
I thought I might start off with Catholicism, because it is closest to what I already know, having been a Non-Denominational/Protestant Christian for a long time. I also thought it might be interesting to try to follow the various rules of that religion for a year. I could write blogs about my year as a Catholic, or my year as a Muslim, or my year as a Buddhist. Doesn't that sound interesting?
Of course it is all an effort to learn more about religion in general and to find out more about myself. For example, what do I believe? What do I disbelieve? All in the name of learning and exploration.
Even though I think I would like to follow one religion for a year, I think that might be too difficult to do, depending on the strictness of the religion. For example, if I was to decide to be Muslim (or Hindi) for a year, I would want to follow the strict dress code, as well as the dietary rules and so on.
I'd have to really prepare for those changes and not go into this half-cocked. Shooting from the hip just sounds like a bad idea when it comes to religion.
I think the only "religion" I couldn't do would be Scientology. I apologize to any Scientologists who may stumble across this blog, but I just can't believe in aliens or L. Ron Hubbard, for that matter. Just not something I think I could do for a year. A week, maybe, before I laughed myself to death.
All for now, I'm going to ponder this a little more and see what happens!

Extraterrestrial
I saw the music video for "E.T." by Katy Perry (the version feat. Kanye West, which he sucked, but what do you expect? However, I have to respect someone who interrupts no talent Taylor Swift. End of tangent). It kind of, sort of, blew my fucking mind. I loved it! Of course, the Albino African-American man with the gorgeous ass kind of cinched it for me. He had a really nice ass, just sayin'!
Anyway, Katy transforms into four different "extraterrestrials", and ressurects Mr. Albinism Hotness in this video. One thing I really enjoyed was her eyes, they were constantly changing and she really did look alien. Of course, kudos, as always, to Katy Perry for coming up with something exotic, fun to listen to (fun to dance to as well!) and thought provoking.
For those who are curious as to who Mr. Albinism Hotness is, his name is Shaun Ross and he is a model, part time actor and amateur dancer. He is on Twitter for those of you who actually enjoy that. If you would like to learn more about him you can go to Wikipedia, just type in his name and you should be able to find him. Not that Wiki is always correct, but its a good place to start.
Now, is he not one of the most gorgeous men you've ever seen? Or am I the only one?
Of course, he looks even better as he is about to kiss Katy Perry (as alien #4)
And while we're on the topic of Katy Perry as an alien, doesn't she look spectacular here?
Okay, now that I have teased you with a few pictures from the video, here is "E.T." by Katy Perry feat. Kanye (you kind of suck) West.
